He learned how to approach and pet different animals as well as care for them (chickens, goats, rabbits, horses). He learned about plants and played in the pond. He saw each farm “chore” as playing. “Our daughter and son attended summer camp for 2 weeks this past summer. After looking into the camp, I was sure they would love it and WOW did they! They tried so many new things like milking, brushing, and walking goats and cows, planting seeds to grow lettuce that they were excited to bring home so we could grow our own salads, the art activities, and all the other things Mary’s Land summer camp offered. The drop off process was quick and easy and the pick up was secure and felt very safe that my kids. Each person picking up and their own 6 digit pin that had to be provided to staff. All around it was an amazing experience and I am sure we will be back in 2024!” – Sandee.
“Mary’s Land Farm Camp was my sons first summer camp experience and we are SO grateful that it was! He came home both exhausted from the day’s activities and excited to tell ua all about them. The counselors are amazing and greet the children so warmly every morning. We had originally signed our son up for one week and ended up snagging a second spot later in the summer because he had so much fun. Perhaps my favorite part was the level of knowledge he came home with about where our food comes from and what it means to take care of the food we eat. If you ask my son though, his favorite part was definitely the “monster slide”. We look forward to his experience in the next age group next summer!” –Lauren M.
“Both of my granddaughters had a blast at Mary’s Land Camp. It was one of their 3rd years attending. Each summer new activities are added and, of course the animals and stream are a favorite. “We absolutely LOVE farm camp! Julie is an absolutely amazing woman, she is hands on, knows every camper, and has an awesome team of counselors. My super sensitive daughter really connected with the friends she made, the counselors, the animals, and the projects they worked on. Drop off and pick up were seamless. Each morning I’d watch the campers dancing, singing, playing. And each afternoon I’d watch kids not wanting to leave. We did four weeks this summer and plan to do 9 next summer. The farm store is also super fun after a day/week at camp, and stopping by for an ice cream became part of our routine. Can’t wait to come back!!!” – Jessica W.
